Well Heeled — a beautifully curated, long‑established independent boutique in the heart of Thirsk — is looking for a polished, personable, and style‑savvy Boutique Retail Manager to lead their much‑loved store.
For 16 years, Well Heeled has built a loyal customer community who return time and again for the warm welcome, the honest styling advice, and the carefully chosen collections from premium brands such as MAC, Milano Italy, Pomodoro, Ichi, and more. This is retail at its most personal — thoughtful, elegant, and relationship‑driven.
You’ll be working directly with the passionate husband‑and‑wife owners who pour their heart into the boutique and are looking for someone who will love it just as much as they do.
The Role
As Boutique Retail Manager, you will be the face of the store — ensuring every customer feels valued, understood, and beautifully looked after. Your day will be varied, creative, and people‑focused, including:
- Delivering a warm, bespoke customer experience that reflects the boutique’s long-standing reputation
- Building relationships with both loyal regulars and new customers
- Managing the day‑to‑day running of the store with confidence and polish
- Visual merchandising and maintaining the boutique’s elegant aesthetic
- Overseeing stock, deliveries, and brand presentation
- Supporting the owners with buying, seasonal planning, and brand representation
- Leading by example to create a calm, welcoming, and stylish environment
- Utilising social media to create basic posts and brand awareness
About You
You’ll thrive here if you are:

- Experienced in boutique or high‑end retail management
- Someone who loves delivering a truly personal service
- Organised, proactive, and able to run a store with pride and ownership

- Happy to be flexible around hours when cover is needed for holidays etc.
