Working for a stable and traditional, yet entrepreneurial and forward thinking company in York, a position for a Trainee Claims Handler has arisen for an individual with a mature approach, good listening skills with the ability to respond to and look after some of this companies longest standing clients.
Your day will consist of a lot of telephone based work handling incoming calls and queries in relation to business to business insurance claims-you will be dealing with the intricate problems and issues that this involves.
Acting as the middle man between your client and the insurer, it is essential that you are a compassionate listener and have good problem solving and communication skills as you will be dealing with internal colleagues and external individuals on a daily basis to resolve issues and requests.
The perfect applicant will have worked within a claims handling / insurance environment but this is not an essential requirement of this role. What is crucial is that you have worked in an office environment where you have had to respond and react quickly to customers’ needs and requests in a positive and professional manner.
It is essential that a good all round experience of administration and customer service.
You should have a good standard of education, and want to pursue your CII qualification.
This role will suit an individual who is loyal and reliable with excellent communication and relationship building skills.
