We are advertising for a HR Officer to join a small dynamic HR team within an award winning company that delivers profitable and sustainable income to the University of York. The successful candidate will provide generalist HR support in areas including recruitment, contractual rights, grievances, sickness absence management, contract management as well as undertake projects as and when required.
You will be involved in providing a high quality, cost effective Human Resources service that meets the customer needs and company objectives; delivering a high quality HR services to both managers and employees and providing support to the HR Administrators. You will be dealing with all queries, attending meetings as well as drafting and developing HR policies.
As the HR Officer, your main responsibilities will include:
The successful HR Officer should be educated to a high standard with relevant experience and ideally be level 3 CIPD qualified or be working towards level 5. It is important that you have a thorough knowledge of administrative procedures, HR systems and processes, HR policies and HR Legislation including contract management. Working closely in a friendly diligent team who can also have a laugh, so having a mature attitude and approach to managing your own time and workload is important.
It is essential that you have excellent communication skills and enjoy report writing and collating information, have the ability to prioritise your own workload to a high standard and to be able to meet deadlines. It’s also key that you have exceptional organisational skills and enjoy using word, excel and outlook on a daily basis.
