We are looking for an exceptional individual who has the drive and determination to develop and expand this Education and Learning based companies’ engagement with a wide range of employers and organisations across the UK. This individual can be based in either York or London (EC2V)
Your role will be to work collaboratively with a range of employers and organisations, securing a strong commitment to the UK’s sector specific, education and skills agenda. Working directly with employers and other partners, you will succeed in positively engaging employers – both financially and practically – with their programmes of support, as well as initiate new projects that will contribute positively to raising aspirations and educational standards.
You role will also involve the following:
·Coordinating, building, maintaining and continually developing strong, effective partnerships with a wide range of national and regional employers to support, enrich and amplify the impact of the programmes and activities supporting specific subject education through the National Learning Network.
·Ensuring the agreed expectations of employers – both national and regional – are met. Employers, and associated employer representative bodies, should feel well communicated with and able to identify the impact of their investment, whether in financial, resources or both.
·Ensuring that all employer relationships result in positive outcomes and impacts, evaluated and evidenced through appropriate means. This includes positive outcomes for teachers, schools/colleges and young people; employers/partner organisations and individual employees or volunteers.
·Working in partnership to drive innovation across the Network in terms of employer engagement, to build sustainability, maximise impact and reduce costs
·Working with others to contribute significantly to the organisations fundraising efforts, unlocking additional employer investment and building commercial sustainability and viability.
With excellent communication, planning, IT and organisational skills, candidates must have a proven track record in establishing, maintaining and continually developing effective and productive business to business or education – business partnerships. You will ideally have a robust understanding of education and the skills agenda including national issues, challenges and opportunities.
The ability to think analytically and strategically will enable you to respond creatively to challenges whilst your highly developed communication skills will enable you to work remotely and effectively with colleagues and a wide range of external stakeholders. Some UK travel will be required.
