Working for a York based charity this 3 week temporary booking has been set up as a reasonable adjustment under the Equality Act 2010 to provide administrative/secretarial and personal support to a Head of Diversity and Inclusion who is visually impaired.
You role will be varied and will include some of the following;
Personal Support-This will include assistance with visual tasks around the office:
This is a crucial role for the organisation and you will need experience of diary management, taking minutes of meetings, filing, handling purchase orders and invoices, answering telephone, photocopying, and using a range of IT office systems and ideally (NOT ESSENTIAL) you will have had experience of working with or supporting disabled people.
You will have the ability to read aloud clearly and quickly and describe complex documentation, have good written communication skills in order to type letters, memos, minutes of meetings etc, excellent interpersonal skills and can demonstrate attention to detail in proof reading, typing and reformatting documents etc. You should also be able to describe body language and other visual cues at meetings and training sessions.
Full or part time considered.
